MB Steak, you deserve all the kudos.
What an amazing meal we got to experience here! Our group of 12 had phenomenal service and really was treated like royalty. The organizer of the group set everything up family style so we may have gotten more of a VIP treatment than others ordering off the menu but it was one of the best meals I have had in a very long time.
We got to try three different steaks from different regions including the wagyu steak which is mouth melting. We had Grilled octopus, seafood platters, calamari, popcorn shrimp, scalloped potatoes, lobster mac, and of course the warm cheddar bread.
Ever single bite was amazing. Order it all here when visiting MB Steak. Embrace the service, experience, atmosphere, and beyond. The chef even took the time to come out and explain each item to us and say hello which is always worth the utmost respect in my opinion.
I had the spicy margarita and it had a great kick to it, highly recommend if you're looking for a cocktail on the menu.
When visiting Vegas we hope to come back and enjoy. Kudos MB Steak! -

This review is for MB Steakhouse as a part of a quest to eat at all of the steakhouses in Las Vegas. The overall score is an average of all other categories with steak being counted twice, since it is a review of a steakhouse.
Overall: 3.57
Decor: 5
Bread: 3
Appetizer: 4
Filet: 4
Side: 5
Dessert: 0
MB Steakhouse is located at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas.
The decor is very beautiful and very modern.
The bread was ok, some weird mix of focaccia and ciabatta.
I ordered the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and it was very good.
The filet mignon was very good.
As a side I ordered a twice baked potato and it was excellent.
For dessert I always like to order a chocolate cake. Unfortunately, they only had a chocolate dessert that had white chocolate in it. So, no dessert for me.
Overall, MB Steakhouse was very good and I'd recommend it for anyone staying at Hard Rock. -

Overpriced Outback Quality, Apathetic Service.
First off, I went for my 50th birthday, because we were staying at the Hard Rock and wanted to stay onsite that night. Not only did I tell them it was my 50th birthday while making the reservation, but also when I showed up I told the hostess that, and then we told our waiter. THEN - nothing was ever said about it again.
The good: The bread they make and serve gratis. The busboy who was the only person who seemed to realize we were alive. The idea of a poached egg on the creamed spinach. (which was the one item during our visit that surpassed "serviceable" in flavor and composition.)
The bad: The food. Oh, where to start? We had Ramsay Steak earlier in the week, and for the same approximate price, here at MB we got thin, sub-prime Outback-quality meats, with NO seasoning save those which you put on yourself at the table. (isn't that the chef's job, to create a flavor sear on the steaks?) Neither steak was seared properly, more of a "Steamy" look, like Sizzler steaks, crosshatch design and all. It was mediocre, AT BEST. Zero value for the exorbitant cost. The lobster bisque, which I sent back after one bite, was so salty my lips were numb after the bite. It was like canned tomato bisque with a giant heap of salt added and a handful of flavorless, rubbery subpar lobster scattered about the bowl. No sherry profile, no layers of rich flavor AT ALL, and when we returned it, our server (who we had to literally FLAG DOWN even though the restaurant was not 40% full, as he was too busy pandering to larger tables of old white drunk businessmen to pay attention to a lone couple trying to celebrate a milestone birthday) he blithely informed us that the chef tasted it yesterday and THOUGHT it tasted funny. THEN WHY IN THE NAME OF ALL THINGS HOLY WOULD YOU SERVE THAT SWILL??????? Appalling.
My fiance's Caesar salad was SWIMMING (and honestly not surviving) in a mayonaisey dressing with no flavor and the lettuce was wilty and seemed to have still been wet when (over)dressed. We didn't send it back because we already sent my soup back during the appetizer course. My mister suffered in silence so I could have a nice birthday dinner. Ha! Little did he know that if MB Steak had anything to do with it, THAT was not going to happen! Not on their watch.
And finally, completing the trifecta of terrible, we had my sad little excuse for a "Butter poached half lobster tail" to accompany my 6 oz filet. Rubbery, flavorless, overdone and just depressing for a $24 addition to my already heinous meal. When Absentee Albert (the server) FINALLY came by to inquire about my meal, I advised that the steak was fine (a $52 steak should NOT be "Fine") but the lobster was overdone, rubbery, no flavor. I refused when he offered to take it back because now I was concerned that my food would no longer come out sans pubic hair or spitwads.
The unforgivable: Absentee Albert, our insincere, hard to locate server. OH! Not hard to locate if you were an old, white businessman with six cronies drinking scotch and telling jokes circa 1980's (I seriously heard one old guy chortle out the "Why can't Stevie Wonder see his wife?? Cause he isn't married!!! HO HO HO" from across the room.) He was hovering over the other tables, re-aligning their flatware, ensuring their water levels were never less than 1/2" from the top of the glass, fluttering around them like a schoolgirl with a crush on the Varsity Team. Meanwhile, my wine was empty for half the meal, and our waters were only tended to by the busboy, and only after we would cast furtive glances about the room. At the end of this meal, er, ordeal, Absentee Albert asked if we wanted dessert. No mention of my birthday - I said "NOPE. We are DONE."
He made us feel unimportant, unspecial, and like we wasted our hard earned money and time on an experience we would regret forever. To his credit, Absentee Albert did take off the lobster tail from the bill. However, they should have paid US to eat there. Horrible, terrible, uncomfortable experience from start to finish. Our bill here after the removal of bisque and lobster tail was $187; before tip; and Ramsay's was $240 before tip (which if we had not sent the items at MB back - they would be TOOOOO close for such vast quality differences)
I won't even buy Morton's SALT anymore after this. (I know they are likely not related but shame on the Morton family for his sham of a place)
GO TO RAMSAY STEAK. Impeccable everything and they APPRECIATE your presence in their establishment.
I am not sure if the good reviews were under a different staff, from long ago, or are left by people who have recently begun eating meat and don't understand what is good steak; or if all of them are simply old white drunk businessmen that get the Happy Ending from Absentee Albert every time they visit MB steak - but I'm shocked at the 4 and 5 star reviews here.
Go ANYWHERE else. Seriously. -

We had a marvelous time at the Hard Rock. It was topped off on our last night with dinner at MB Steak. The food was to die for and our service was the best I believe we have EVER experienced. KURT was absolutely amazing. His suggestions and attention to detail blew us away. We have seriously talked about our meal and service EVERY day since!! And fyi, it's been four days!!!
Thank you KURT! We hope to see you again and enjoy MB Steak in the near future. -

Do not go here. They are closing down and they do not care about the service. The waiters were friendly, but were not around, attentive, or anything they should have been. This restaurant is over priced, extremely loud, and just not worth it. Go to Outback Steakhouse, it's an upgrade.
